Our bodies are equipped with a cranial-sacral flow of cerebrospinal fluid that moves under pressure from the top of the cranium to the tailbone. Its rhythmic pulse occurs approximately six to 12 times per minute.

Cranial-sacral technique involves holding the flow still at various points, which changes the rhythmic pulse. The goal is to balance the flow.
